We’re delighted to share that Elgin Energy achieved great success in the recent RESS 3 auction, securing contracts for two projects located in Galway and Carlow.
In total, 23 renewable projects, including 20 solar farms, were awarded contracts on the day, and these projects will contribute a total of 497MW of clean electricity to the national grid, enough energy to power over 114,000 homes across the country.
RESS auctions are a crucial part of Ireland's commitment to achieving a minimum of 80% renewable electricity by 2033, and Elgin Energy is proud to be at the forefront of this effort. These contracts mark a significant milestone in our journey towards a greener, more sustainable future.
